Edith Grant

A special fund has been set aside in the name of Edith Reichert, the mother of Foundation House’s founder, Mimi Sternlicht, and her sister Amy Reichert. Edith inspired her children with her generosity even when she had little for herself. Understanding that small gifts could make big differences, she would quietly write checks to virtual strangers who she saw facing hardship. In her name, we have established the Edith Grant Fund to do the same. If you, or someone you know could benefit greatly from a small gift to ease a financial burden or help with an unexpected emergency expense, please fill out the short application below so we can see how the Edith Grant might be able to help.

A note to artists: This grant is not intended to fund personal artistic endeavors. We will not respond to requests for the funding of studio space, facilitating art shows, framing of artwork, etc. The Edith Grant’s sole purpose is to bridge gaps that prevent individuals from being able to meet basic needs. If you are an artist and have work available for sale, please share that with us.
